I remember it clearly. The smell and the excitement. I was around six years old, my grandma from New York came to visit my family in San Rafael, California. She arrived with the best surprise – this box of oil pastels for me (yep, I still have them).
To this day, choosing art supplies or facing a blank canvas in my studio, brings that exact feeling of anticipation, possibility and curiosity.
My path…
Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, I moved to Canada and settled near Vancouver, B.C. with my Canadian husband. We made the plan to stay for five years before returning to California. Two children and four dogs later: you guessed it, we’re still here!
I mostly live and work overlooking Ganges Inlet in our cottage home and studio on Salt Spring Island. Nature is an innate part of my life here. It inspires my work with its movement, rhythms, light, life cycles, reflections and incredible beauty.
…to A Sacred Life
When I’m not diverting our energetic lab named Oski out of mischief you’ll see me enjoying my huge capacity for play and delight through creative expression. Essentially this means finding me feeding my senses in the oceanside garden, prepping a delicious meal, in the studio spattered in colorful paint, or meandering on a forest trail to bathe in that silence which is essential for my introverted sanity.
Those closest to me tell me I bring an easy laugh and lightheartedness to life. They respect my depth of passion to spark a shift for women to live with more inner trust, courage and creative powers. I have this passion because I’ve had to learn all this myself. I’ve become more self-compassionate as I’ve healed old patterns of resistance and trauma that were stopping me from living from my heart. Now its a delight to help others become more at peace.
Calling myself an artist was the start of this journey! Many hours of painting in my studio led to acceptance to an amazing art residency at the Vermont Studio Center in 2015. Soon afterwards, gallery representation came along.
But something was missing. Old judgements, perfectionism and fears began to stifle me right when I was in the midst of having what I most wanted!
A healing journey began with the choice to unravel these limiting patterns. Through therapy, self reflection, women’s studies and commitment, I began to open up. I had to heal co-dependent tendencies and learn how to set healthy boundaries. I began to pay attention to what triggered me so that I could give it loving attention instead of pushing it into the depths to only resurface. I began to notice people pleasing tendencies and began tending myself first which was super uncomfortable! It forced me to discern my preferences and desires which wasn’t easy.
As synchronicity happens, I came upon the wildly unbridled creative world of intuitive process painting. Through this practice and facilitator training, I gently and bravely processed layers of what was constraining me. Play and joy came back. I could more easily navigate the emotional ebbs and flows. Life began to unfold in amazing ways.
Around this time, I also discovered that I could tend my energy field. This was life changing! I trained in Reiki, Pranic Healing, Energetic NLP and psychic development. I now have an unshakable trust in my inner guidance. It’s not outside of us. It’s within and waiting to be enjoyed!
I share this knowledge and experience with others now. It’s a joy to lead them toward trusting intuition, cultivating curiosity with an open heart and obeying the creative muse so life can be lived with more grace, joy and compassion.
1:1 personal SESSIONS
The goal in these sessions is to assist you in improving emotional well-being. We’ll explore old patterns and resistances built up in the energetic system. I’ll support you in connecting with the guidance of your heart wisdom and energy system. When we drop into a meditative state and are guided to focus on our energy centers, we can clear the dense unhelpful energies.
In my 1:1 Intuitive Guidance Mentorship, we meet over four 2-hour video calls where you’ll receive personalized guidance to deepen your intuitive abilities or find healing during life’s challenges. We’ll combine embodied practices like movement and creative expression with energy clearing to support your journey of healing and transformation.
The single 1-hour sessions will be solely an energy clearing that’ll bring your system into alignment. In a 60-minute recorded video call, we’ll connect spirit to spirit and work with a blend of healing energies. Using chakra activations, aura readings, and channeled messaging, we’ll identify and release energetic blocks to help you reclaim your innate power.
Welcoming you to connect with me to learn more!
