I've always been drawn to art and have been painting for many years. Born and raised in the San Francisco bay area, California, I have a Graphic Communication, B. Sc. degree from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
After moving to Surrey BC, Canada, a suburb of Vancouver, in 1988, I've continued to pursue my passion for painting through various art studies including University of British Columbia, Emily Carr College of Art and Design, Focal Point Photography Studio, and most importantly, hours and hours in my studio experimenting and honing my style.
My paintings are in collections in BC, Ontario, the Maritimes, California and Australia.
I believe art feeds the soul as well as is an expression of the soul. Honest passion for the act of painting gives way to a very genuine outcome which conveys my individuality. I aim to connect with the childlike wonder of creating art by allowing my intuition to guide me, resorting to play and movement with the paint which lets my expressionistic style to emerge.
